On December 16, 2021, the strongest typhoon of 2021, Rai, made its landfall eight times in the central and southern parts of the Philippines, including where I live (alert level was placed on Category 4). The following days were a series of depressing attempts to rebuild without electricity, water – especially clean drinking water, mobile signal and internet connection, and even accessible roads to get out of our town to buy food for a few days.
I am constantly faced with depressing situations that I no longer know how to take it all in. I don’t know what to feel. I don’t know what to do. I had trouble sleeping for quite a while, so I decided to let some thoughts out and wrote this.
